The CMA-CIPFA Lifetime Achievement Award is given to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to financial management and/or comptrollership throughout their career. The award recognizes the contribution public sector employees make to the federal government of Canada and the financial management profession as a whole.

The award is given at the discretion of the selection committee for the Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector. It may not be awarded annually and is not primarily dependent on consideration forms.

Nomination/Selection Process:

  1. Each nominator may submit only one nominee (individual) for consideration.
  2. The award will be given at the discretion of the selection committee for the Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector. It may not be awarded annually and is not primarily dependant on consideration forms.
  3. Individuals may be re-nominated in future years, based on a significant contribution that they made throughout their career.
  4. All nominations must be received by Friday, February 17, 2012.
